Aunt Boot’s Sticky Buns

Aunt Boot’s Sticky Buns (the Easy Way)

(Made with Frozen Bread Dough)

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf Frozen Bread Dough
  • 1 stick softened Butter
  • Cinnamon (to taste)
  • Sugar (to taste)
Syrup Mixture:
  • 1+ C. Sugar
  • 1 C. Water

Directions:

  1. Thaw a loaf of frozen bread and let it rise overnight.
  2. Spray an 8x8 pan with Pam.
  3. Pull raised bread out of bowl and roll out on a lightly floured surface into an approximate 8” x 15” rectangle.
  4. Spread the softened butter over the surface of the dough rectangle.
  5. Sprinkle sugar generously over the buttered dough rectangle.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon over the dough rectangle.
  7. Roll the dough on the long side.
  8. Using a knife, make small marks to determine cutting points (in an effort to determine that the cinnamon rolls will be of a uniform size. Then, actually slice the long roll at the point of the “marks.”
  9. Carefully pick up each cinnamon roll and place it in the Pam-sprayed pan.
  10. Allow the cinnamon rolls to rise until about doubled.
  11. When the rolls have risen nicely, bake them in a 350 degree oven for about 25 minutes.
  12. While the rolls are baking, prepare the syrup in a small cook pot, mixing the sugar and water together and just bring it to a boil.
  13. When the cinnamon rolls have baked for about 25 minutes, take them out of the oven and pour the syrup slowly over them.
  14. Put the cinnamon rolls back in the oven for about 10 more minutes, watching them carefully…so they don’t burn.

This recipe makes 8 to 10 sticky buns.
