Ingredients:
- 2 ¼ C. all-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 C. (two sticks) Butter, softened
- ¾ C. Sugar
- ¾ C. firmly packed Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 Eggs
- 1 (12-oz.) package (or 2 C.) Nestle Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- 1 C. finely chopped Walnuts (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy.
- Beat in eggs.
- Add the flour (a little at a time), baking soda and salt to the wet ingredients; beat together on low to medium speed until thoroughly mixed.
- Stir in the Nestle morsels (and optional nuts) by hand.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls unto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 9-11 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
Note: This recipe yields about 6 dozen 1½ inch cookies.
