Ingredients:
- ½ C. Sugar
- ¼ C. Butter
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- ½ C. warm Milk
- 1 package Yeast (2 teaspoons bulk yeast) dissolved in 3 Tablespoons warm water
- 3 C. Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla
Topping Ingredients:
- 2/3 C. Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
- 4 Tablespoons Butter, melted
- ½ C. Walnuts, chopped fine
Directions:
- Cream together the sugar and butter.
- Then add eggs, milk, 1 package of yeast dissolved in 3 tablespoons of warm water, flour, salt and vanilla.
- Beat all of these ingredients together. Then set it aside and let it rise, until it is double in size (it may take two or more hours).
- Mix the topping ingredients (sugar, cinnamon, melted butter and walnuts) together for later.
- When the dough has doubled in size, put it in a 9 x 13” greased cake pan.
- Spread the topping on the dough.
- Place the pan in a cold oven and leave it there overnight to rise.
- The next morning, turn the oven to 350 degrees and bake for ½ hour.
- Take out and serve warm.
